COLIMA CON GRAN POTENCIAL PARA EL ECOTURISMO

En Colima, incluyendo las Islas Revillagigedo, ocurren más de 450 especies, entre ellas están las aves endémicas, que son el motivo de la visita de extranjeros y nacionales a nuestro estado; “aproximadamente 46 especies de aves son endémicas en la región”, informó Oveth Fuentes creador y promotor del proyecto Viajando y Pajareando.

Oveth Fuentes, aseguró que nuestra entidad tiene un gran potencial para el ecoturismo. Explicó que Viajando y Pajareando se hizo con la finalidad de promover la observación de aves y organizar eventos para difundir el aviturismo en el estado.

Mencionó que la observación de aves es una actividad recreativa que permite conocer la naturaleza de las aves, así como su hábitat, “además de que no se necesita mucho  para poder hacerlo, ya que para un observador de aves basta con tener el interés y un par de binoculares, afortunadamente tenemos buenos caminos en el estado para desplazarnos del mar a la montaña”. 

Oveth Fuentes destacó que Colima cuenta con una riqueza natural, ecosistemas y micro regiones que vuelven un factor muy importante para la diversidad de aves y poder realizar este tipo de actividades ecoturísticas, “tenemos los volcanes, valles, playas, el mar, microclimas que favorecen a qué tengamos tantas aves o que pase por aquí una gran variedad de éstas”. 

Abundó que las aves son importantes para mantener un equilibrio en la naturaleza, ya que son consideradas indicadores ambientales por lo que es mejor que estén libres en el medio silvestre, “hay algunas que su dieta se basa en insectos, como las golondrinas, a ellas les encantan los mosquitos, son nuestros aliados para mantener una baja población de este tipo de plaga”. Por lo anterior, sugirió proteger a las aves y dejar que hagan sus nidos, “las golondrinas, buscan una esquina dentro de las casas para hacer su nido, generalmente en las cocheras, una buena acción es dejar que hagan su nido, observar y conservar”.

Asimismo, explicó: a las aves de la ciudad, se les llama aves urbanas, en este grupo que comúnmente vemos o escuchamos esta Mirlo Dorso Canela, Luis Bienteveo, Tirano Pirirí, Golondrina Tijereta, “si ponemos atención, podemos escuchar hasta 20 cantos de aves cerca de nuestro hogar”. Indicó que las aves se han ido adaptando a la vida urbana, a pesar de que “estamos invadiendo su hábitat, ya que Colima ha ido creciendo, hace 100 años no era así, entonces abundaban otro tipo de aves, mismas que han sufrido bajas en su población y están en peligro de extinción”.
